Gentamicin solution, is a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic that remains stable under heat and pH variations. The solution is effective against a wide range of Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria and is commonly used to prevent the contamination of cell cultures by bacteria. Gentamicin exerts its antibactericidal effect by irreversibly binding to the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis and disrupting the integrity of the bacterial cell membrane.
TargetMol's gentamicin solution is a sterile, filtered and ready-to-use solution for cell culture, containing 10 mg/mL of gentamicin sulfate. It is recommended for use in cell culture application at 0.5-50 μg/mL of gentamicin. Dilute the solution as experimental needs.
