Green fluorescent protein (GFP) and its mutant enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) are widely used to detect the efficiency of gene expression as well as the expression and distribution of target proteins. As a tagging protein, GFP causes the fused target protein to autofluoresce, enabling the localisation of target genes in cells without the need to rely on antibodies or probes, and with little interference from other substances.
Targetmol's GFP Tag Agarose efficiently detect and purify GFP, EGFP and their fusion proteins, but do not bind BFP tagged proteins.
