Description | 8-CPT-2'-O-Me-cAMP (250 µM; 1 h) induces Rap1 activation and enhances the recruitment of junction proteins and cortical F-actin in retinal pigment epithelial cells. |
In vitro | 8-CPT-2'-O-Me-cAMP (250 µM; 1 h) induces Rap1 activation and enhances the recruitment of junction proteins and cortical F-actin in retinal pigment epithelial cells. |
In vivo | The chemical compound 8-CPT-2'-O-Me-cAMP, administered through a 1 µL intravitreal injection at a concentration of 2.05µM, shows efficacy in hindering the progression of choroidal neovascular lesions in a laser-induced damage model. Utilizing a cnoroidal neovascularization (CNV) model in wild type (WT) C57/Bl6 mice, the assigned dosage and administration method resulted in a dose-dependent reduction in CNV volume and an elevation in Rap1 activity within isolated RPE/choroids. Furthermore, the treatment induced a noticeable augmentation in F-actin localization towards the cell periphery and led to a reorganization of the cell junctions into a more linear configuration. |
