Anticancer agent 122, a potent inhibitor of human lactate dehydrogenase A (h LDHA), exhibits significant anticancer activities, rendering it suitable for use in cancer research [1].
In vitro
Anticancer agent 122 (Compound 8m) inhibits the growth of liver cancer cells (HepG2) and cervical cancer cells (SiHa) with IC50 values of 5.15 μM and 1.65 μM, respectively, at concentrations of 0-100 μM over 72 hours, and shows no significant toxicity toward the human embryonic kidney cell line (HEK293) [1].
