In vitro
DCI-Br-3 (0-20 μM; 30 min; SH-SY5Y cells) enhances intracellular fluorescence in a concentration-dependent manner, indicating effective thiol reactivity within SH-SY5Y cells [1].
In vivo
DCI-Br-3 (5 mg/kg; i.p.; BALB/c mice) permeates the blood-brain barrier, enabling the observation of thiol reduction in cerebral tissues [1].
