The production and breakdown of intracellular proteins is in dynamic equilibrium under stable environmental conditions and when proteins are extracted from cells and tissues in vitro, crude cell extracts contain many endogenous enzymes that are capable of degrading the target proteins, e.g. phosphatases and proteases. These enzymes are released from the cells or are activated, leading to the breakdown of the target protein and affecting the results of the analysis. Therefore, adding appropriate inhibitors of proteases, phosphatases and other enzymes to the extracts is an effective way to prevent protein degradation and de-modification.

TargetMol Protease Phosphatase Inhibitor Cocktail, with ddH2O as solvent, is a mixture of 4 protease inhibitors and 4 phosphatase inhibitors, which can efficiently inhibit a variety of proteases including serine, cysteine proteases and aminopeptidases, as well as a variety of phosphatases including acidic, alkaline, and serine/threonine phosphatases in protein extracts. This product does not contain AEBSF, thus avoiding the mass spectrometry peak drift it may cause. Therefore, protein samples extracted with this product can be used for Mass Spectrometry (MS) detection and analysis, including proteomics.

  • Compatible with MS, Western Blot analysis, Co-IP, pull-down, IF, IHC, kinase assay and etc.
  • Thaw in Room Temperature. Please centrifuge it at low speed before opening the cover, so as to throw the liquid adhered to the wall of the tube to the bottom.
  • Add concentrated cocktail at 1:100 (v/v) dilution to solution samples (such as cell lysates or tissue extracts) before assaying.
  • Briefly vortex cocktails to help facilitate the dissolution.

Stored at -20°C 12 months.

1.Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. It is recommended to aliquot and store the samples at -80℃ for future use.

2.Lysis buffer containing the cocktail should be prepared and used immediately. They are not suitable for freezing and storage for later use.

3.Different cell types have varying levels of endogenous enzymes. Please adjust the volume of the required cocktail accordingly.

4.This product is for R&D use only, not for diagnostic procedures, food, drug, household, or other uses.

5.Please wear a lab coat and disposable glove.
