Description
AI-10-104 acts as an inhibitor of the runt-related transcription factor (RUNX), increasing cytotoxic effects in myeloma cells [1].
In vitro
AI-10-104 (0-10 μM) inhibits RUNX by dissociating the RUNXs-IKZFs complex, thereby enhancing the antiproliferative and cytotoxic effects of lenalidomide (CC-5013) on myeloma cells [1]. Western Blot analysis [1], using a concentration of 0-10 μM in HEK293T cells, shows a reduction in IKZF3 and CBFβ levels. Cell proliferation assays [1] conducted on OPM-1, KMS-11, and U266 cell lines at a concentration of 1 μM revealed maintained cell viability with moderate inhibition of OPM-1 cell proliferation.
