Akt/mTOR-IN-1 (Compound 8r) is an inhibitor of the AKT/mTOR signaling pathway, exhibiting an IC50 of 0.8 µM and possessing anticancer activity. This compound decreases the expression of Caspase 3 while enhancing the expression of the autophagic protein Cyclin B1, thereby inducing autophagy and apoptosis. Akt/mTOR-IN-1 is applicable for research in the field of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Description | Akt/mTOR-IN-1 (Compound 8r) is an inhibitor of the AKT/mTOR signaling pathway, exhibiting an IC50 of 0.8 µM and possessing anticancer activity. |
In vitro | Akt/mTOR-IN-1 demonstrates effective inhibitory activity in HepG2, MCF-7, and MDA-MB-231 cells at a concentration of 10 μM over 72 hours. At 2 μM for 12 hours, it induces autophagic cell death and apoptosis in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) A549 cells via the AKT/mTOR signaling pathway. Furthermore, Akt/mTOR-IN-1 causes G2/M phase cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in NSCLC A549 cells when administered at concentrations ranging from 0.3125 to 10 μM over a 24-hour period. |
