In vivo | Administering Apstatin (1 mg/kg; i.v.; 5 min before ischemia) has been shown to significantly reduce the infarct size (IS) in an acute myocardial ischemia model. This model utilized male Wistar rats weighing between 270-310 g. The compound was injected intravenously 5 minutes prior to inducing ischemia, demonstrating its effectiveness in decreasing myocardial infarction area in this context. |
