Description
LAS-31180 is a phosphodiesterase 3 inhibitor. It also has positive inotropic and vasodilator properties.
In vitro
In isolated guinea-pig ventricular strips (EC50: 1.2 mmol/L) and in isolated guinea-pig working hearts, LAS 31180 displays positive inotropic activities[1].
In vivo
LAS 31180 administered either by the intravenous or oral route, in conscious chronically instrumented beagle dogs, displays a dose-dependent, long-lasting positive inotropic influence with minimal effects on heart rate. LAS 31180 elicits a potent and long-lasting fall in blood pressure, in hypertensive beagle dogs[1].
