In vitro
MMPI-1154, at concentrations ranging from 1-100 μM, effectively inhibits the MMP-2 enzyme extracted from rat hearts in vitro, achieving complete inhibition at 100 μM[1]. At a concentration of 1 μM, MMPI-1154 demonstrates significant cardio-cytoprotection, markedly reducing infarct size in an ex vivo model of acute myocardial infarction[1].
