Description
Steroid sulfatase-IN-2 is an active inhibitor of steroid sulfatase (STS), demonstrating an IC50 value of 109.5 nM. Its potential application lies in hormone-dependent cancer research, specifically estrogen-dependent breast and endometrial cancer [1].
In vitro
Steroid sulfatase-IN-2 (compound 1h) inhibits STS activity in JEG-3 cell lysates with an IC50 of 109.5 nM at 0.001-10 μM for one hour. In a whole-cell assay with JEG-3 cells, it shows an IC50 of 13.6 nM at 1-10 μM for 20 hours. Over a 5-day period at 0.01-100 μM, it demonstrates a dose-dependent antiproliferative effect on T-47D estrogen-dependent breast cancer cells, achieving an IC50 of 5.78 μM in a cell viability assay.
