Description
5-HT2B antagonist-1 is an orally active 5-HT2B receptor antagonist with an IC50 of 33.4 nM, suitable for studies of diseases characterized by 5-HT2B receptor signaling, such as hepatocellular carcinoma, cardiovascular disease, or gastrointestinal disease [1] [2].
In vitro
5-HT2B antagonist-1 (compound 5g) exhibits sodium channel binding activity with IC50 values ranging from 12.6 to 57.5 μM [1] and inhibits 5-HT2B receptor activity by less than 50% at 1 μM in CHO-K1 cell lines (compound 1-e) [3].
In vivo
The oral administration of 5-HT2B antagonist-1 (compound 15) at a dosage of 30 mg/kg significantly reduces visceral hypersensitivity in irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) rats [2].
