Formulation | Lyophilized from sterile 50 mM Tris, 100 mM NaCl, 3 mM CaCl2, 10% Glycerol, 0.1 M Arg, pH 8.0. Please contact us for any concerns or special requirements. Normally 5 % - 8 % trehalose, mannitol and 0.01% Tween 80 are added as protectants before lyophilization. Please refer to the specific buffer information in the hardcopy of datasheet or the lot-specific COA. |
Reconstitution | Please refer to the lot-specific COA. |
Stability & Storage | It is recommended to store recombinant proteins at -20°C to -80°C for future use. Lyophilized powders can be stably stored for over 12 months, while liquid products can be stored for 6-12 months at -80°C. For reconstituted protein solutions, the solution can be stored at -20°C to -80°C for at least 3 months. Please avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles and store products in aliquots. |
Shipping | In general, Lyophilized powders are shipping with blue ice. |
Research Background | Cadherin 10 (CDH10) is a type II cadherin predominantly expressed in the brain, putatively involved in axon outgrowth and guidance. Also known to mediate calcium-dependent cell-cell adhesion and maintain the correct balance between excitation and inhibition in neuronal dendrites., CDH 10 has a large N-terminal extracellular domain (containing 5 cadherin motif subdomains which appear to determine the specificity of the protein's homophilic cell adhesion activity), a single membrane-spanning domain, and a small, conserved C-terminal cytoplasmic domain. CDH10 spans 157.7kb on chromosome 5 and produces two transcript variants. Mutations and loss of expression of this protein have been observed in multiple cancer types, including gastric, colorectal, pancreatic, endometrial and lung. Genetic variations nearby the CDH10 genetic region have been associated with autism. |
