Description
11β-Hydroxyandrosterone is a urinary adrenal-derived androgen metabolite in children with CAH.
In vitro
Among the metabolites of DHEA, AD4, and 11OHAD4, only 11β-Hydroxyandrosterone (a metabolite of 11OHAD4) showed no overlap between C21OHD (classic 21-hydroxylase deficiency) and PORD (cytochrome P450 oxidoreductase deficiency) at a threshold of 0.35 mg/g creatinine. Detection of 11β-Hydroxyandrosterone distinguished the two. [1]
