Catalog No. T10165Cas No. 17014-74-3
Alias 5-Amino-6-(D-ribitylamino)uracil

5-A-RU (5-Amino-6-(D-ribitylamino)uracil) is an early intermediate in riboflavin biosynthesis and is found in a variety of bacteria and yeast as well as plants. 5-A-RU is also a mucosal-associated invariant T (MAIT) cell activator that forms potent MAIT-activating antigens through non-enzymatic reactions with small molecules from other metabolic pathways.

Product Introduction

Bioactivity
Description
5-A-RU (5-Amino-6-(D-ribitylamino)uracil) is an early intermediate in riboflavin biosynthesis and is found in a variety of bacteria and yeast as well as plants. 5-A-RU is also a mucosal-associated invariant T (MAIT) cell activator that forms potent MAIT-activating antigens through non-enzymatic reactions with small molecules from other metabolic pathways.
In vitro
METHODS: 5-A-RU plus DHA, 5-A-RU, 5-A-RU plus MeG, or 5-A-RU (0-3000μM) was used to treat mouse MAIT cells from STg (iVα19) and DTg (iVα19Vβ6) animals, and the activation of mouse MAIT cells was measured.
RESULTS 5-A-RU plus MeG achieved the greatest MAIT cell activation; 5-A-RU alone also activated MAIT cells; 5-A-RU can also react with Glyx and MeG to produce pyrimidine adducts, activating mouse MAIT cells. [2]
In vivo
METHODS: 5-A-RU (100 nM, intraperitoneal injection) was administered to Vβ6-Tg mice and iVα19-Tg mice, and MAIT cell activation was measured.
RESULTS MAIT cells were activated when 5-A-RU and MeG were mixed extemporaneously before in vivo injection, whereas 5-A-RU alone was unable to activate MAIT cells in mice. [2]

In Vivo Formulation Calculator (Clear solution)

Please enter your animal experiment information in the following box and click Calculate to obtain the mother liquor preparation method and in vivo formula preparation method:
TargetMol | Animal experimentsFor example, your dosage is 10 mg/kg Each animal weighs 20 g, and the dosage volume is 100 μL . TargetMol | Animal experiments A total of 10 animals were administered, and the formula you used is 5% TargetMol | reagent DMSO+30% PEG300+5% Tween 80+60% ddH2O. So your working solution concentration is 2 mg/mL。
Mother liquor preparation method: 2 mg of drug dissolved in 50 μL DMSOTargetMol | reagent (mother liquor concentration of 40 mg/mL), if you need to configure a concentration that exceeds the solubility of the product, please contact us first.
Preparation method for in vivo formula: Take 50 μL DMSOTargetMol | reagent main solution, add 300 μLPEG300TargetMol | reagent mix well and clarify, then add 50 more μL Tween 80, mix well and clarify, then add 600 more μLddH2OTargetMol | reagent mix well and clarify
For Reference Only. Please develop an appropriate dissolution method based on your laboratory animals and route of administration.
