Description
AChE/Aβ-IN-2 (compound 33) is a potent, orally active acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitor (IC50: 135 nM), an NMDA receptor antagonist (GluN1-1b/GluN2B subunit combination, IC50: 5.054 μM), inhibits Aβ aggregation, demonstrates favorable blood-brain barrier permeability, and enhances cognitive and spatial memory in a rat model [1].
In vitro
Compound 33 (AChE/Aβ-IN-2) at a concentration range of 5-20 μM over 48 hours inhibits the aggregation of Aβ1-42 at 10 μM [1].
In vivo
Compound 33 (AChE/Aβ-IN-2), administered orally at a dosage of 10 mg/kg/day for 7 days, attenuated memory deficits in rats induced by Aβ1-42 and reduced the time spent in the target quadrant of the Morris water maze [1].
