Description
Anti-MRSA agent 6 (compound 3q6) is a potent anti-methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (anti-MRSA) agent with low cytoxicity for MCF-7, A549 cells [1].
In vitro
The anti-MRSA agent 6, also designated as compound 3q6, exhibits antimicrobial activity characterized by minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of 16 μg/mL for both S. aureus ATCC 29213 and an S. aureus isolate; 32 μg/mL for E. faecalis ATCC 29212; 64 μg/mL for an E. faecalis isolate; 256 μg/mL for both E. coli ATCC 25922 and an E. coli isolate; and 128 μg/mL for both P. aeruginosa ATCC 27853 and a P. aeruginosa isolate. Additionally, at a concentration of 100 μM, compound 3q6 demonstrates low cytotoxicity towards MCF-7 and A549 cell lines [1].
