Description
Anticancer Agent 101, a tetracaine derivative, exhibits anti-cancer activity [1].
In vitro
Anticancer agent 101 (compound 2m; 24 and 48 h) exhibited antitumor activity, with IC50 values of 20.5 μM for Colo-205 cells and 62.9 μM for HepG2 cells [1]. At concentrations of 25 µM and 50 µM over 24 hours, Anticancer agent 101 decreased the expression of apoptotic proteins PI3K and FoXO3a, while upregulating PTEN and FoXO1 in Colo-205 cells.
