Description
CGP78850 is a potent and selective Grb2 SH2-phosphopeptide interaction antagonist that holds potential for cancer research.
In vitro
CGP78850 (0~100 μM; 90 minutes; MDA-MB-468 cells) demonstrates a dose-dependent reduction in Grb2 protein association, inhibiting interactions between epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and Grb2 as well as between Shc and Grb2 in living cells. Additionally, it effectively prevents MDA-MB-468 cells from forming colonies in soft agar in a dose-dependent manner. Western Blot Analysis further confirms these effects, showing a significant decrease in Grb2 protein levels in MDA-MB-468 cells treated with varying concentrations (0~100 μM) over a 90-minute period.
