Description
HS-80, an enantiomer of Fasnall, is a selective fatty acid synthase (FASN) inhibitor that inhibits the incorporation of tritiated acetate into lipids (IC50: 7.13 μM).
In vitro
Fasnall exhibits anti-proliferative effects and promotes apoptosis in breast cancer cells. As a thiophenopyrimidine, it selectively targets FASN at its co-factor binding sites.
