Description
HSV-1/HSV-2-IN-2 is an inhibitor of HSV-1, HSV-2, and VV, exhibiting antiviral activity with EC50 values of 6.8, 8.9, and 8.9 μM, respectively [1].
In vitro
HSV-1/HSV-2-IN-2, at a concentration of 100 μM administered over 3-6 days in HEL cell cultures, demonstrated effectiveness and non-toxicity against HSV-1 (KOS), HSV-2 (G), HSV-1 TK- KOS ACVr, and VV at low micromolar doses (6.8, 8.9, 6.8, and 8.9 μM, respectively). These results underscore its potential as a non-toxic, effective treatment option against these strains.
