JF646, a red fluorescent dye, exhibits an excitation maximum at 646 nm and an emission maximum at 664 nm[1]. It is designed to act as a ligand for self-labeling tags, including HaloTag[1]. This dye, also known as Janelia Fluor 646, SE (JF646, SE), is a photostable, membrane-permeable molecule with a high extinction coefficient, and its structure is modified by JF646[2].
