In vivo
Mead acid (MA) effectively inhibits the growth of KPL-1 human breast cancer cells in vitro, demonstrating an IC 50 of 214.2 μM (65.7 μg/mL) over a period of 72 hours, and significantly reduces tumor growth and regional (axillary) lymph node metastasis in female athymic mice[1].
