ODN 1585 is a potent inducer of IFN and TNFα production, a robust stimulator of NK (natural killer) cells, and can be used as a vaccine adjuvant. It enhances the function of CD8+ T cells, including CD8+ T cell-mediated IFN-γ production, induces regression of established melanomas in mice, and has been shown to inhibit malaria in mice. Additionally, ODN 1585 can be used to study acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) and malaria.
