In vitro
26RFa is a crucial neuropeptide involved in regulating energy metabolism [2].
In vivo
26RFa significantly diminishes the release of insulin triggered by glucose, hinders insulin reactions to arginine and exendin-4, and does not influence glucagon production in rat pancreas[3], exhibiting these effects in a dose-dependent manner.
