Description
Paeonilactone B ((+)-Paeonilactone B), a monoterpenoid from Paeonilactone, has neuroprotective activity, inhibits oxidative stress, and suppresses H2O2-induced neurotoxicity in rat cortical cells.
In vitro
Using the MTT assay method to verify the neuroprotective activity of compounds, the results indicate that within the concentration range of 0.1-10 μM, Paeonilactone B significantly inhibits the neurotoxicity induced by H2O2 (50 μM; 24 h) in primary cultures of rat cortical cells [1].
