Description
Pegylated synthetic human C-peptide exhibits similar bioactivity to natural C-peptides (non-polyethylene glycolated) and demonstrates an extended plasma half-life, making it suitable for research in diabetic peripheral neuropathy [1].
In vivo
Pegylated synthetic human C-peptide (CBX129801) administered subcutaneously (s.c.) at doses of 0.4, 1.33, or 4.0 mg/kg/week for 39 weeks can induce cytoplasmic infiltration of foamy macrophages at the injection site tissues and draining axillary lymph nodes without causing systemic foamy macrophage vacuolization [1].
