In vitro
PROTACs are bifunctional molecules consisting of two ligands linked together: one binds to an E3 ubiquitin ligase and the other to the target protein. By leveraging the intracellular ubiquitin-proteasome system, PROTACs facilitate the selective degradation of target proteins.
