Propofol β-D-glucuronide is a metabolite of propofol sulfate, a short-acting anesthetic agent. The metabolite is generated through the glucuronidation of propofol by uridine diphosphate glucuronosyltransferases, and propofol metabolism appears to occur more rapidly in women than in men. [1] [2]
