Description | SIRT1-IN-3 (compound 3j) is a potent and selective inhibitor of silent information regulator 1 (SIRT1) with an IC50 of 4.2 μM [1]. |
In vitro | SIRT1-IN-3 (compound 3j), at concentrations ranging from 0 to 100 μM over 48 hours, effectively inhibits the growth of several human cancer cell lines (including K562, HCT-116, H460, HepG2, A549, and MCF-7), demonstrating specific anti-proliferative properties. Moreover, this compound exhibits minimal cytotoxic effects on normal cell lines such as 293T and HUVEC. The cytotoxicity assay outcomes illustrate that the inhibition concentrations (IC50) for cancer cell lines K562, HCT-116, H460, HepG2, A549, and MCF-7 are 47, 41, 66, 93, 52, and 64 μM, respectively, indicating potency in a broad range of tumor types. Conversely, the IC50 values for non-cancerous 293T and HUVEC cells are relatively similar, at 49 and 45 μM, respectively, highlighting the compound's low toxicity toward normal human cells. |
