Description
ReN-1869 is a novel selective histamine H(1) receptor antagonist with anti-neurogenic pain and anti-inflammatory activity for the study of neurological diseases.
In vivo
No adverse effects were observed in mice treated with ReN 1869 hydrochloride (300 mg/kg, oral); 0.01-10 mg/kg of ReN 1869 hydrochloride had antinociceptive effects in the rodent chemical nociception test, but not in the thermal test (hot plate and tail flick); ReN 1869 hydrochloride can amplify the analgesic effect of morphine, but does not show tolerance after long-term administration; ReN 1869 hydrochloride is effective against neurogenic inflammation (anterograde nerve stimulation, histamine-induced edema), but not against carrageenan-induced inflammation.
