Description	Endothelin 1 (swine, human), a synthetic peptide mirroring the sequence of both human and swine Endothelin 1, functions as a robust endogenous vasoconstrictor by interacting with two receptor types, ETA and ETB.
In vitro	Endothelin-1 (ET-1), a potent endogenous vasoconstrictor primarily secreted by endothelial cells, operates via ETA and ETB receptors. Beyond its vasoconstrictive effect, ET-1 contributes to vascular cell fibrosis and prompts the generation of reactive oxygen species. Additionally, ET-1 is implicated in proinflammatory mechanisms by elevating superoxide anion output and cytokine release.
