Hepcidin-1 (mouse) is a peptide hormone that regulates iron balance, elevates mRNA for TRAP, cathepsin K, and MMP-9, and promotes TRAP-5b protein secretion. This compound also reduces FPN1 protein levels and boosts intracellular iron, ultimately aiding in osteoclast differentiation [1].

In vitro | Hepcidin-1 mouse, at concentrations ranging from 200-800 nM over four days, enhances differentiation of RAW264.7 cells induced by RANKL (50 ng/mL) [1]. The same compound, at doses from 0-800 nM applied for four days, upregulates the expression of TRAP, CTK, and MMP-9 mRNA [1]. Additionally, hepcidin-1 mouse tested from 0-800 nM for a duration of 20 hours increases the levels of Trap-5b protein in RAW264.7 cells while reducing the protein levels of iron transporter 1 (FPN1) [1]. |
