In vitro
The dioxygenation of Linoleyl alcohol by potato tuber lipoxygenase results in the formation of two positional isomeric 13-hydroperoxyoctadecadien-1-ols and products-9-[1].
In vivo
Esters made from Gallic acid (GA) and (-)-Epigallo-catechin (EGC) or Linoleyl alcohol are more effective in weight-loss promotion and metabolic syndrome management than are intact GA and EGC[2].
