Phosal 50 PG is a co-solvent with a standardized phosphatidylcholine concentrate as its main component. As a carrier for lipophilic compounds, Phosal 50 PG enhances the absorption efficiency, bioavailability and therapeutic effect of active ingredients.
In vitro
Phosal 50 PG has superior emulsifying capacity over Phosal 53MCT and is more miscible with water in the presence of glycerol. The presence of the PG in Phosal 50 PG leads to a more uniform formulation and prevents phase separation. [1]
