Temporin A (TA), a small, basic, highly hydrophobic antimicrobial peptide amide (FLPLIGRVLSGIL-NH2) derived from the skin of the European red frog, Rana temporaria, exhibits a broad spectrum of antibiotic activities. These activities are effective against a wide range of microorganisms, including both Methicillin-sensitive and -resistant Staphylococcus aureus, along with Vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium strains[2].
