| Description | BX-2819 is an Hsp90 inhibitor that exhibits potent antiproliferative activity with an IC50 of 41 nM . It effectively suppresses the growth of NCI-N87 and HT-29 tumor cells in nude mice[1]. |
| In vitro | BX-2819 (0.001-10 nM , 16 h) inhibits the expression of ErbB2 protein and significantly enhances the expression of Hsp70 in HT-29, OVCAR3, and SKBR3 cells [1]. |
| In vivo | BX-2819 administered at 100 mg/kg intraperitoneally (i.p.) twice weekly substantially inhibited the expression of ErbB2 protein in NCI-N87 and SKOV3 tumor-bearing mice. Additionally, in HT-29 and NCI-N87 tumor models, it significantly reduced tumor growth and overall tumor burden [1]. A single dose of BX-2819 at 2 mg/kg given intravenously (i.v.) demonstrated a relatively short serum half-life (t1/2 = 0.8 h), high clearance (CL = 159 mL/min/kg), and a large volume of distribution (Vss = 4.5 L) in mice [1]. |
