In vitro
The G. lutea leaf extract exhibited moderate cytotoxic effects toward HeLa cells with an IC50 value of 41.1 microg/mL. Isogenisin was isolated and identified from G. lutea leaves, isogentisin exerted strong activity against HeLa cells, with IC50 values is 8.8 ± 0.9 μg/mL.[1]
