SLC26A3-IN-2 is an orally active inhibitor of the anion-exchange protein SLC26A3 with an IC50 of 360 nM. 92% inhibition of SLC26A3 was achieved when SLC26A3-IN-2 was treated for 10 min at a concentration of 10 μM. [1]
In vivo
Oral administration of 10 mg/kg SLC26A3-IN-2 significantly increased the weight of feces and the number of particles in a loperamide-induced constipation model in mice, showing its effect in increasing fecal hydration capacity in mice. [1]
