Description
MK2-IN-5, a pseudosubstrate of Mk2 with an inhibition constant (K_i) of 8 μM, selectively targets the protein interaction domain of the MAPK pathway and inhibits the phosphorylation of HSP25 and HSP27 [1] [2] [3].
In vitro
MK2-IN-5 at concentrations of 5-10 nM for 2 hours inhibits the expression of connective tissue growth factor and type I collagen induced by TGF-b1 in human scar keloid fibroblasts [3].
In vivo
MK2-IN-5 (2 mg/kg, intraperitoneal injection, single dose) reduces HSP25 phosphorylation in ventilator-induced lung injury models [2].
