Description | 48740 RP (RP 55779) is an antagonist of platelet-activating factor. |
In vivo | 48740 RP significantly reduces capillary permeability. 48740 RP increases the number of platelets at a time corresponding to 2 and 4 h after the exposure to lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and the number of eosinophils is also slightly increased. 48740 RP in combination with the LPS exposure increases the number of neutrophils by about half at 24 h[1]. |
