Description | Flo8, an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant agent, effectively suppresses the release of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and nitric oxide (NO) while inhibiting neuronal apoptosis by modulating inflammatory and apoptotic signaling pathways, showcasing potential utility in Parkinson's Disease (PD) research [1]. |
In vitro | Compound Flo8, at concentrations of 5 μM and 10 μM administered for 18 hours, exhibited minimal inhibitory effects on the viability of BV2 microglial cells [1]. Furthermore, at a concentration of 5 μM over 18 hours, it significantly inhibited the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in BV2 cells [1]. The same concentrations of Compound Flo8 over 18 hours also reduced the expression of inflammatory cytokines in BV2 cells, consequently decreasing apoptosis levels in SH-SY5Y cells [1]. Additionally, Compound Flo8 inhibited M1 polarization and promoted M2 polarization in microglia following LPS induction at 5 μM and 10 μM for 18 hours [1]. It also suppressed the phosphorylation of ERK, p38, and JNK in BV2 cells induced by LPS [1]. |
In vivo | Compound Flo8 (15/35 mg/kg, intraperitoneal injection, daily/biweekly) alleviates neuroinflammation and inhibits neuronal apoptosis in the brains of MPTP-induced C57BL/6J mice [1]. |
