Description
(±)-Indoxacarb is a pyrazoline insecticide with insecticidal activity and cytotoxicity, blocks sodium channels in insect neurons, and can induce apoptosis.
In vitro
In insects, indoxacarb is metabolically converted to N-demethoxylated JW062 (DCJW), which is more active than the parent compound. Indoxacarb is a promising alternative to pyrethroid insecticides, particularly for the control of agriculturally important lepidopteran pests [1].
