Description | Brodalumab (AMG 827) is a human monoclonal IgG2 antibody targeting the interleukin 17 receptor (IL-17R), commonly used as an immunosuppressant in treating psoriasis. |
In vitro | Brodalumab (AMG 827) blocks the biological activity of the IL-17A, IL-17F, and IL-17A/F heterodimer signaling pathways by binding to the IL-17RA/RC complex. Additionally, it inhibits the biological activity of the IL-25 (IL-17E) signaling pathway by binding to the IL-17RA/RB complex[1]. Brodalumab is capable of suppressing the inflammatory processes associated with psoriasis[1]. |
