Description
Kuwanon E, a flavonoid obtained from Morus alba, has potential anti-inflammatory activity, inhibits TNF-α and IL-1β secretion, and suppresses NF-κB nuclear translocation in LPS-stimulated macrophages.
In vitro
METHODS: THP-1 cells were exposed to different concentrations of Kuwanon E (1, 2.5, 5, 10, 20, and 50 μM) for 24 hours, stained for activity, and counted using a hemocytometer.
RESULTS: The LD50 value of Kuwanon E was greater than 50 μM and inhibited the proliferation of THP-1 cells. [1]
