Nomegestrol is a highly selective full agonist at the progesterone receptor but has little or no binding affinity for other steroid receptors such as the androgen and glucocorticoid receptors. [1]
Nomegestrol is a progestin with a high binding affinity for the progesterone receptor and a Kd of 5.44 nM for the rat uterine progesterone receptor. [2]
In vivo
In animal models, Nomegestrol demonstrated moderate antiandrogenic activity and strong antiestrogenic activity. [1]
