In vitro
Benzylpenicillin is also commonly known as penicillin G. Benzylpenicillin exhibits activity mainly against Gram-positive organisms. Some Gram-negative organisms such as Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Neisseria meningitidis are also reported to be susceptible to Penicillin G.
