Apoptosisinducer 30 (Compound 15a) acts as an anticancer agent. It induces apoptosis in MCF-7 cells through the mitochondrial pathway. This compound elevates intracellular levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS), decreases mitochondrial membrane potential, and arrests the cell cycle at the G0/G1 phase. Apoptosisinducer 30 inhibits cell growth, with an IC50 value of 0.32 μM against MCF-7 cells, and suppresses tumor growth in a mouse breast cancer model.

Description | Apoptosisinducer 30 (Compound 15a) acts as an anticancer agent. |
In vitro | Apoptosis Inducer 30 effectively inhibits the growth of tumor cells, exhibiting IC 50 values of 1.01 μM for A549, 0.91 μM for HepG2, 0.32 μM for MCF-7, 0.95 μM for HeLa, and 8.09 μM for MCF-10A cells. At concentrations ranging from 100 to 500 nM over 48 hours, Apoptosis Inducer 30 elevates the cytochrome C (Cyt-C) levels in MCF-7 cells and activates caspase-9 and caspase-7. |
