Description
Lysophosphatidylcholines (Lyso-Lecithins (egg)) are orally active lipids that induce cell damage and apoptosis, and induce demyelination. Lysophosphatidylcholines play a role in mediating inflammation, fibrosis, and cancer, and can be used to study atherosclerosis.
In vitro
Lysophosphatidylcholines (3 μM, 10 μM, 30 μM, 100 μM; 24 hours) reduced HUVEC viability in a concentration-dependent manner[1].
In vivo
Lysophosphatidylcholines (0.1 mg/kg, 1 mg/kg, 10 mg/kg, 20 mg/kg; oral) significantly protected albino ICR mice against cecal ligation and puncture (CLP)-induced lethality at a dose of 1 mg/kg[4].
